Overview

Wellness, digitally.

Holistic Yoga & Wellness Studio — Israel

Contracted as a freelance designer and developer to build a complete digital experience for Santula Yoga, a growing wellness studio based in Israel serving students across prenatal yoga, hatha flow, meditation, and nutritional coaching.

The studio operated across four core offerings — Yoga Classes, Meditation Programs, Nutrition Consultation, and a Wellness Bookshop — catering to practitioners of all levels, from beginners seeking stress relief to expectant mothers and advanced yogis.

The existing website was outdated, lacked mobile responsiveness, and made class scheduling confusing. The objective was to create a serene, intuitive digital space that reflected the studio's calming in-person atmosphere while driving class bookings and community engagement.

The Challenge

Stillness, structured.

The challenge was not simply creating a beautiful wellness aesthetic. It was designing an experience that felt as calming as the studio itself while handling complex scheduling, multi-service navigation, and community building across diverse practitioner needs.

01

Multi-Audience Accessibility

The website needed to welcome complete beginners, guide expectant mothers to prenatal classes, and still offer depth for experienced practitioners. The tone had to be warm, inclusive, and reassuring without losing sophistication.

02

Service Clarity & Booking Flow

Four distinct verticals — yoga, meditation, nutrition, and books — risked fragmenting the user journey. The architecture needed to present breadth while making class discovery and booking feel effortless and intuitive.

03

Serenity at Any Speed

The design demanded soft palettes, organic shapes, and gentle motion to evoke tranquility — yet the site needed to load instantly, book smoothly on mobile, and perform flawlessly during high-traffic class registration windows.

Design Strategy

Gentle intention.

We began by understanding the studio's core challenge: an outdated digital presence that failed to convert visitors into students and made the brand feel disconnected from its in-studio experience.

Through discussions with the founder and analysis of leading wellness brands, we mapped an experience designed around the emotional state of a visitor seeking calm — not another overwhelming website.

01

Soft Visual Language

Muted palettes, generous whitespace, and organic curves create a visual rhythm that mirrors the breath and flow of a yoga practice.

02

Intuitive Class Architecture

Services and schedules were structured around user intent so visitors could find the right class, teacher, or program within seconds.

03

Invitation-Based Conversion

Booking CTAs were woven naturally into the content flow — encouraging action through calm invitation rather than urgency or pressure.

04

Performance by Design

Animation and visual softness were balanced with lightweight code, optimized imagery, and fast-loading pages across all devices.

04 / Design

A visual system built around breath.

We created a serene, modern website with flowing navigation and a clear wellness hierarchy. The visual system focused on soft color transitions, human-centered photography, typography that feels hand-crafted, and motion that breathes.

The homepage establishes the studio's healing narrative while individual program pages provide deeper context with teacher profiles, schedules, and gentle, contextual booking prompts.

05 / Development

Built to breathe, built to book.

The website was developed as a scalable WordPress experience with a modular architecture that allowed the studio team to update class schedules, add new teachers, and publish blog content without developer dependency.

Responsive implementation, performance optimization, booking system integration, and SEO best practices were woven into the development process from day one — ensuring the site felt as light as the practice it represented.

Results

Designed for harmony.

The final experience balanced serene visual storytelling with measurable business outcomes — more bookings, stronger community engagement, and a site that finally reflected the studio's in-person energy.

Key Learnings

What the practice taught us.

The project reinforced that a wellness digital experience succeeds not by adding complexity, but by removing friction — creating space for the user to breathe, explore, and commit.

01

Calm converts — a serene interface with gentle pacing reduced bounce rates and increased time-on-site by over 40%.

02

Mobile is the mat — over 70% of bookings came from mobile devices, making thumb-friendly navigation and fast loads non-negotiable.

03

Booking by invitation, not interruption — embedding schedule CTAs within teacher bios and class stories raised registrations without feeling pushy.

04

Build for the teacher handoff — modular WordPress blocks let the studio update schedules and announcements without calling a developer.
